The thing with any object that has lived through so many years is the sense of mystery and wonder that I generally associate with the passing of time. You can just imagine them holding a pen over that paper - folding it, sending it. You might wonder about everything else that is not on the paper too - the circumstances surrounding the content of the letters, the emotions behind the words.
So here I've uploaded some of these letters (and you can go see the originals in the multiplus) for you to let your imagination run wild with. You can respond to them. You can make up a story about them. You could write follow up letters. Up to you.
The first is from Mr. Alvarez (Mr. Kingston's grandfather) to his fiancee Rosalie. (I'm putting up both a scanned and a photograph version - whichever turns out to be more comfortable to read.)
