Marie was an 18 year old girl. She was very pretty and intelligent, with strawberry red hair
and small blue eyes on a pinkish-white face. She was a friendly person, and was always
seen with Sophia, who was her friend since kindergarten. She had met John and Abraham
three years ago, but they are also very nice to her.
One day they decided to go camping in a forest a bit away from the city. They started the
journey in the morning, and excitement levels were running high for the four friends; this
was the first time that their parents allowed them to go camping alone. They were going to
stay for 6 days and 7 nights in the forest, with John driving the car. He took everyone into
a deep part of the forest that no one recognized. Little did they know that it was the most
dangerous place- a location where wild animals lived freely.
During the first day they all worked together to get the tents set up and the whole evening
was spent with enjoyment and fun. However during the night, silence filled the air all
around them. To dispel some of the tension, they sat in front of the fire, playing games and
having fun. Suddenly, a faint growl sounded from a far distance behind them, effectively
scaring the four-member group.
John took it upon himself to bring some dry woods and put them in the fire, in hopes of
scaring away any animals. However, John was irresponsible and was known to never do his
work properly, so Abraham and Marie volunteered in his stead. With Marie’s help, they set
out with a lantern and a knife for cutting wood.
“John is my friend, but there are times when I find myself in unwanted situations. Like
now.” Abraham muttered, while cutting out some wooden branches. After a few minutes of
collecting enough wood, the two returned to the camp, only to find it packed with wolves.
Upon hearing Marie scream, they all turned their beady eyes towards the two friends, and
all it took was a second before they found themselves under attack.
“RUN MARIE!” Abraham shouted, and together they ran blindly deep into the forest, with
no sense of direction to guide them. Suddenly Abrahams disappeared in the dark, but Marie
kept on running, slowly drawing nearer to a small house up ahead.
“HELP HELP!!!! Please open the door!” Upon banging insistently on the door, an old lady
answered her cries by opening the door. Marie stumbled into the house and immediately
passed out, only regaining her consciousness after an hour.
When she awoke, she found the old woman perched on the edge of her bed. “I think this
knife and lantern belongs to you” said the old lady, “I found these things outside the house”
and then she left the room. Marie was left to reflect on what happened to her friends, about
what the wolves could have done to them.
