The storyline comprises of two retired bank robbers, Michael and Trevor, who had gone their own ways after their last heist, and a third character named Franklin who is a young man who strives to make money by any means necessary. When two corrupt FBI agents decide to blackmail Michael and Trevor with their unpleasant past in order to make them do the agents’ dirty work; the three characters find themselves facing the same problems from different sources and team up to counter them.
The creators have done an amazing job refining the mechanics of the game to set it apart from its previous titles. From roaming the vast deserts, diving onto the depths of the oceans, experiencing the city night lights and skydiving from the tallest towers and mountains; the versatility of its layout is what keeps you unceasingly captivated.
The well scripted interplay between the three main characters – Franklin, Michael and Trevor – however, steals the show as they make up the most memorable moments of the game with their ingenious sense of humor. GTA 5 is definitely one of the most entertaining games of the PS3/Xbox 360 generation, providing countless hours of amusement, even if you finish the main story. It truly deserves to be the game of the year.
