For decades, Ethan's job was a closely guarded secret, even from his wife (Amber Heard) and daughter (Hailee Steinfield). After the diagnosis, Ethan tries to rekindle his dysfunctional relationship with his family, which proves to be increasingly difficult with his new assignment.
The movie mainly comprises of Ethan struggling to juggle between tracking down a famous terrorist and ensuring the safety of his family.
Compared to an average action-thriller, the movie is lukewarm with pyrotechnics, ill-fated cars and family moments sprinkled here and there, making it one of those movies you'd watch if you gave 2 hours to kill.
I give it a 3.5/5.
